Heritage, Honor,
and History,
that is what the SCV is all about.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans are
the protectors of our ancestors past,
and custodians of the present, and
shepherds  of the future. We must have
the courage to protect our heritage,
preserve our ancestors honor, and see
the truth is told, about the men,
and the States, that formed the Confederacy.

Remember!!!
" You can't win a war, if the Army stays home."

To my camp members, I challenge you to work hard for the cause. To come
to the meetings, and to take part,  in our camp activities.

To the Southerner, that is not yet a camp member, or a member of the SCV,
the South needs all her sons and daughters. Please join. We will assist you
with your genealogy, if you need help tracing your ancestors.

Forrest's Escort 1239 is a family oriented camp.

We have a ladies auxiliary, called the " Confederate Belles. " This group of
women are the back-bone of our camp. They are very dedicated to the
Southern Cause, and we are thankful for all of their help and support.

Soon we hope to have a Cadet Corp here at the camp for the younger
children. Presently we are looking for a Commander to lead " Lee's Cadet Corp ".

Please, come join us.

Your Servant,

Jonathan W.  Till

Commander        Jonathan Till

      Artillery Night Fire

Charge to the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

"To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we will commit the
vindication of the cause for which we fought. To your
strength will be given the defense of the Confederate
soldier's good name, the guardianship of his history,
the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those
principles which he loved and which you love also, and
those ideals which made him glorious and which you
also cherish."

Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee, Commander General,
United Confederate Veterans,
New Orleans, Louisiana, April 25, 1906.
